Biography

Dr. Dt. Tülay Çakmak is a pediatric dentist (pedodontics specialist) practising in Trabzon since 2005. Born in Trabzon in 1981, she completed her dental education at Atatürk University Faculty of Dentistry (Erzurum, 1999–2005) and earned her doctorate and specialist degree in the Pedodontics Department of Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Dentistry in Trabzon (2005–2011), where she also worked as a research assistant. She later served as Assistant Professor and Head of the Pediatric Dentistry Department at RTE University Faculty of Dentistry.

Since 2014 she has been part of Dentomed in Trabzon, dedicating her practice to child-focused, gentle dental care — from a baby's first visit to early orthodontic interventions in adolescents. Her clinical interests include preventive dentistry (fluoride therapy, fissure sealants), restorative pediatric dentistry, dental trauma management in children, and behaviour-guided treatment for anxious young patients.

She is a member of the Turkish Association of Paediatric Dentistry and has published research on pediatric dental trauma in the Eastern Black Sea region. Languages: Turkish, English.
